В Югре геоинформационные технологии решают задачи рационального природопользования
АНИ: Область применения геоинформационных технологий охватывает не только науку и производство, но и отслеживание движения транспорта или прогнозирование погоды. Такое мнение выразил заместитель губернатора Югры Алексей Забозлаев на III Всероссийской научно-практической конференции «Геоинформационные технологии в решении задач рационального недропользования» в Ханты-Мансийске. Мероприятие организовал Югорский НИИ информационных технологий при поддержке Аналитического центра МГУ.

ГеоИнфо: Пока одни утверждают, что в отрасли инженерных изысканий нет ничего нового, а все работы ведутся на устаревшем оборудовании, другие внедряют в свои производственные процессы самые современные методы и технологии. Например, в АО «Институт экологического проектирования и изысканий» (АО «ИЭПИ») совсем недавно был создан Центр геоинформационных технологий и дистанционного зондирования Земли, основной задачей которого является обеспечение текущих и будущих проектов компании оперативной, точной и самой полной информацией по различным процессам и явлениям, происходящим как на земле, так и на акваториях.

B-port, Marine News, Oil of Russia, and others: For the purpose of the environmental implications assessment during oil and gas fields exploitation over 40,000 sq. m of the Kara and Barents seas have been investigated. At the oil and gas license blocks in the Kara and Barents seas the assessment of the background environmental conditions and the environmental and fishery mapping have been implemented. The work has been performed by specialists of the «Institute of Environmental Survey, Planning & Assessment» and P.P.Shirshov Institute of Oceanology and has ended in October 2014.

Coastal erosion could threaten Olympic sites
The Moscow Times: Extensive construction that was carried out in preparation for the Winter Olympics in Sochi has led to coastal erosion, which increases the risk of damaging newly built sports facilities and other infrastructure, ecologists said. "There was quite a lot built in the coastal area, mostly roads and railways," - Vladimir Slobodyan, head of the Institute of Environmental Design, said at a news conference this week. "As a result, the sediment balance was disturbed, and we can already observe coastal erosion. In the future it is possible that we will see deformation, even destruction of the facilities built in the coastal area for the Olympics."
